****BCC plays Brass Cricket Club****
BCC won against Brass Cricket Club. BCC batted first and scorec 213 runs. Captain Pierre scored 44 and everyone else chipped in with 20+. Brass Cricket Club started off well but then was not able to keep the momentum going, K. Pierre put the brakes on and took 4 wickets to bowl out Brass for 163 runs.
****Arch Rivals played in this encounter****
BCC won the toss and elected to bat without any hesitation. Patrick scored a fifty, middle order helped with partnerships, and Steve Pitter rocked it at the end. Target of 268 was set for Cavaliers. Steve hit 5 huge sixes in his quick 54. Adam Sanford took over the game and SCTCA best spell was witnessed by the spectators, 8 overs 3 maidens with 8 wickets, BCC put Cavaliers to sleep.
****Match Abandoned****
BCC lost the toss and were put into field against St. Johns. Target of 139 was set for Bridgeport to chase. BCC was on it's way but match was abandoned due to some disagreement.
****Norwalk upsets BCC****
BCC winning streak ends against Norwalk cricket club. BCC was bowled out for 104 runs. D Coutts took 5 wickets. BCC tried to recover by bowling out their hearts but due to not having enough runs on the board they were defeated. Norwalk achieved the targed with 9 wickets down.
****BCC showing signs of great batting display****
BCC scored above 250 runs third time in a row. This time against CHCC who also gives BCC trouble. Seven batsman scored in double digits and it was a great team effort. Adam Sanford scored a fifty and everyone else chipped in during this innings. Cheshire couldn't establish any big partnerships and were bowled out for 131.
****Another big win for BCC****
BCC scored above 250 runs again and this time against NHCC. Total of 276 was posted with an amazing innings of unbeatable 109 by D. James. B. Richards also played an handy knock of 64 at the top which gave BCC the momentum that was needed. NHCC was bowled out for 136.
****Massive win against DCC****
BCC posted a total of 257 runs and bowled out DCC for a mere 60. Steve Pitter was exceptional with the bat and scored a brilliant 78 which included 7 fours and 4 sixes. Captain Pierre shined with the ball and took 4 wickets.
****Easy win for BCC against Cheetah****
BCC bowled out Cheetah cricket club for 41 runs and chansed it with ease in 8 overs.
****BCC becomes 2013 20/20 Champions****
BCC played the arch rivals Cavaliers cricket club in a low scoring thriller for the 20/20 championship trophy on Saturday June 22nd. The game was delayed due to issues with the field but once the match started the excitement didn't end till the last delivery was bowled. Cavaliers won the toss and elected to bat. The bowlers from BCC bowled an excellent line and kept the batsman guessing, there was instant reward for Sean Edwards who bowled brilliantly and first got Richard Miller trying to force a shot, Sean finished his amazing spell with 3 wickets in his 4 overs giving up only 2 runs, he bowled 2 maiden overs. Cavaliers kept losing wickets at regular intervals and was not able to establish any partnerships, they scored 87 runs in 20 overs. BCC thought it was going to be an easy target to chase but Cavalier dug in deep and was able to pull of an unbelievable start, BCC was down 4 wickets for a mere 16 runs, all of a sudden target of 88 looked like mountain to climb. Adam Sanford used all of his professional experience to help the home side and played a responsible innings of 36 which got BCC closer to the target. At the end Sean Edward continued from his amazing spell and also contributed with bat and hit a four and a six to put Cavaliers out of their misery.
****UBS shocks BCC in the first game of the 40 over season ****
BCC was beaten by UBS in the first game of the 40 over season by 82 runs. UBS elected to bat first and put up a target of 230 runs. The openning partnership was for 107 for the visiting team. BCC batsman struggled to establish an innings that would help them reach the target and only managed to score 148 runs.
****BCC storms into Finals by beating NMCC ****
BCC won the toss again in the semi finals and elected to bat. After a shaky start when BCC was 3-58 Adam Sanford and Steve Pitter built a strong partnership which was very much needed. Steve was not out for 63 runs which included 7 massive sixes, Adam Sanford provided the support with a responsible 24. Target of 167 was too much for NMCC, they were bowled out for 118 runs.
****BCC beats UBS in quarter finals for 20/20 ****
BCC won the toss and right away elected to bat. After losing Patrick quickly Robin and Andre stabalized the batting and provided the start that was much needed. Their partnership of 50 runs set the platform and BCC was able to set the target of 150 wiht the help of Steve Pitter harding hitting towards the end, he finished with 3 fours and 4 sixes to make 44 runs. UBS was not able to settle and kept losing wickets, they were bolwed out for 62 runs in 14.5 overs.
****Three in a row for BCC ****
BCC hosted Cheetah cricket club in their third game. BCC won the toss and put up a mammoth total of 170. The whole top order contributed with scores in double figures. The innings of Sean and Steve stood out as they hit ball out of the park at regular intervals both finishing with 34 and 38 respectively. Cheetah had no chance and was bowled out for 89 runs
****BCC wins their second 20/20 game ****
BCC won the toss and elected to bat against their first tough match against West Haven Cricket club. Robin Lynch and J Campbell gave BCC the start which was very much needed; they scored at a rapid pace, Robin hit 2 fours and 2 sixes while J Campbell demolished the bowles with 4 huge sixes. BCC continued to lose wickets but the accumulation of runs never stopped. Target of 168 was set which was too much for WHCC, they did well to reach 140; from BCC Sean and S James took 3 wickets each.
****BCC wins the first encounter of 2013 in style. ****
UBS batted first and managed to put up a target of 107 runs. The target was reached in only 14.1 overs at a rapid pace. BCC batsman started off to a flyer, J Campbell scored a brilliant 50 with 2 fours and 5 sixes.
****BCC wins back to back ****
BCC beats Cheshire cricket club in the 9th game of the season. BCC won the toss once again and batted first. After losing the openers BCC was able to establish some partnerships and with the help of some hard hitting by Sean Edwards was able to reach a respectable total of 186 runs. Cheshire was never comfortable against the BCC bowling attack and were bowled out for 103 runs.
****BCC back to bizness ****
BCC beat Cavaliers Cricket club in its 8th game of the 40 over league game. BCC won the toss and took full advantage by putting up a total of 236 runs. Dave Wallace played an incredible innings for the homeside once again by making a brilliant 83 runs. Steve and Sean helped by some late order firworks. Cavaliers cricket club was never able to develop partnerships and were dismissed for 173 runs. Sean Edwards took 4 wickets, Dave and Jack took 3 wickets each.
****BCC loses the first game of the season ****
BCC played West Haven on Sunday and lost the game by 66 runs. WHCC won the toss and elected to bat. BCC took 2 quick wickets and then lost the momentum, WHCC was able to develop a nice partnership and scored 225 runs. BCC kept losing wickets and were never able to establish a solid partnership.
**** Rain destroys the game ****
BCC hosted St. Johns cricket club on Sunday. BCC won the toss and elected to bat. After losing some quick wickets BCC managed to set a target of 200+ runs. Trevor Smith scored a responsible fifty. St. Johns started off with a blaze but Rain had the last say, the game was washed out and points had to be shared.

**** BCC reaches the highest score of the year****
BCC made 200 runs against NMCC2 to reach the highest total of the year by BCC against a team in 40 over competition. Dave Wallace scored 89 runs and continued his good form from previous day. His knock included 8 fours, 5 sixes and Don Pierre gave him excellent support. Big 'Don' made 50 runs to register his second fifty of the season. NMCC2 were bowled out for 100 runs. Sean Edwards bowled an excellent spell and claimed 4 wickets. Dave Wallance not only shined with the bat but also with the ball and claimed another 3 wickets.

**** BCC wins against a competitive total of NHE****
Bridgeport cricket club faced New Haven Eagles in their fourth game of regular season. NHE did really well to post 172 runs on the board. Bobby Grewal scored a brilliant 69. Dave Wallace was the best bowler from BCC taking 3 wickets. BCC started off shaky and lost 3 wickets for 75 runs and then Dave Wallace took over the game with some amazing shots all around the ground. He scored an unbeaten 90 runs and was unlucky to get to the the three figures because the target was reached before that point. John Lavine played a responsible knock of 26 runs.

**** BCC wins three in a row****
BCC played Danbury Cricket Club in the third 40 over game. BCC elected to bat and put in a low total of 137. Danbury bowled really well to bowl the homeside. Don Pierre batted with maturity and ensured that the homeside reached three figures, he played a responsible inning of 48 runs. Steve Pitter claimed 6 wickets and bowled an excellent spell of 8 overs. Danbury was bowled out for 91 runs.

**** BCC wins the 2nd 40 over game****
BCC played their second game of 40 over competition against Cheetah cricket club. Cheetah batted first and only gave BCC a target of 107. Tony Brown bowled really well and took 3 wickets. BCC lost wickets at quick intervals and reached the target after losing 6 wickets. Don made a responsible innings of 45 to bring BCC home.

**** BCC wins three 20 over matches in a row****
BCC played West Haven cricket club in the third 20 over match. West Haven batted first and only made 72 runs. Steve Pitter and Trevor Smith bowled exceptionally well and took 3 wickets each. BCC chased the target in 15 overs after losing 4 wickets. Don and Shan batted well to get the homeside victory.

**** BCC prepares for double header this weekend****
BCC has two games coming up this weekend and were busy preparing for the games on Thursday's Practice.

**** BCC wins the second 20/20 game****
BCC beat NHCC in the second 20/20 game. New Haven won the toss and elected to bat. The visitors were bowled out for 75 runs. Bridgeport struggled in the beginning but then responsible innings from Patrick and skipper got the home side through. Patrick played a responsible innings of 24 runs and took two catches behind the stumps.

**** BCC wins the first 20/20 game****
BCC beat Mad Dogs in the first 20/20 encounter. BCC made 119 runs with the help from Carl Thomas's late fire works of 32 runs at a crucial time. The captain bowled a great spell claiming 4 wickets to finish the opposition. Mad dogs were bowled out for 74 runs.

**** BCC wins the first league game****
BCC won the first league game against the West Haven Rangers. BCC put up a target of 172 runs with a responsible knock of 70 from Big "Don". Steve and Sean lead from the front and bowled out the visiting side for less than 50 runs.

**** BCC gets ready for a new Season****
BCC has started the work on the wicket and has started to hold regular Tuesday and Thursday practices. The players are very excited about the new season and are looking forward to make this year memorable.

**** Season ends with a loss in QF****
BCC played Cheshire Cricket Club in the Quarter Finals for the 40 over competition and lost. BCC lost the toss and was put into bat. Cheshire bowled well and fielded exceptionally well and destroyed BCC batting line up. BCC only made 106 runs but made it a close game. BCC bowled aggresively to defend a small total and removed first 8 wickets of the opposition for 104 runs. At the end the total was not enough to defend and Cheshire prevailed. They were able to make 107 runs and qualified for the Semi Finals.

**** BCC makes it to playoffs, Losing streak ends****
BCC played Norwalk Cricket Club in a must win situation in order to move into the playoffs. NCC won the toss and elected to bat. NCC started off well and scored 50 runs without losing any wickets. BCC fought back and was able to add pressure by breaking partnerships. NCC put up a total of 160 which is competitive around this time of the year. All BCC batsman got to double digits but were not able to create any partnership and BCC found themselves struggling once again. BCC needed 23 runs with 2 wickets remaining. The match went into the last over but the home side was able to reach the target with some sensible batting by Steve Pitter and Sean Edwards.

**** UBS defeats BCC****
BCC lost to UBS and slipped another position on the points table. UBS was bowled out for 128 runs and was able to defent the total by bowling out BCC for 112. Bowlers did well for BCC but batsman failed to capitalize. BCC continued to struggled against spin as seen in previous 3 games.

**** Cavaliers match rains out****
The contest that everyone was waiting for unfourtunately was rained out against the arch rivals Cavaliers Cricket Club.

**** BCC lost to BRASS in Semifinals of 20/20****
BCC was bowled out for only 84 runs in 16 overs by Brass cricket club in the 20/20 semi final. None of the BCC batsman were able to establish an innings. The spin bowler R. Ifthikar did the damage by taking 4 wickets. Brass made 88 runs for 3 wickets and won easily.

**** BCC slips to 5th position****
BCC lost to WH Rangers to make the season 5-3. WH Rangers won the toss and elected to bat. BCC had a great start and removed the first 3 wickets for only 69 runs. WH Rangers fought back and was able to establish a big partnership and ended up with a target of 222. BCC started their inning well, both opener provided the much needed start and first wicket was lost at 96 runs but then the batting collapse and the whole team was out for 182.

**** BCC loses two in a row****
BCC lost to West Haven Cricket Club to make the season 5-2. WHCC won the toss and elected to bat. BCC had a great start and removed the first 8 wickets for only 116 runs. Sheldon Smith and Jignesh Patel fought hard to stay at the wicket and were able to build 79 run partnership. BCC struggled to keep the preasure on and WHCC reached a target of 223. Both BCC openers were removed for duck but Atif Zafar and Don Pierre attacked back and were able to get the score to 56. Atif and Don were looking good when their partnership got to 50 runs and then the flood gates opened up and BCC kept losing regular wickets. WHCC ended up bowling out the home side for 158 runs.

**** BCC winning streak ends****
BCC lost the 6th game of 40 over regular season after winning 5 games in a row. BCC elected to bat and after a big top order collapse BCC did well to reach a target of 176 runs. Andre Wilson led the charge and scored a fighting 55 runs, Sean Edwards and Carl Thomas played a supporting role and also contributed some crucial runs. BCC did well to remove first 3 wickets for 64 runs but then Jigar Desai had a field day and scored a pounding 68 runs to get the visiting side through. His innings included 5 fours and 4 sixes.
**** BCC continues in the same fashion****
After winning the quarter final on Saturday BCC continued the same form on Sunday. BCC won the toss and elected to bat against visiting side St. Johns. First time BCC got a start of 100 runs. Oniel Powell played a memorable innings of 91 runs while KK played a sensible supporting innings. John Lavine and Patrick Atkinson took full advantage of the good start given by openners and gave BCC another good partnership. Patrick scored a mature half century and BCC was able to reach 306 runs. St. Johns was demolished by BCC attack. Sean Edwards pace was too much to handle. Visting side was bowled out for mere 103 runs. Edwards took 5 wickets.
**** BCC storms into 20 over semi finals****
BCC played UBS in Quater Final game of 20 over competition. BCC won the toss and elected to bat. It was a good decision as BCC got a good start. KK and John laid the foundation. Skipper chippped in with a quick fire 40 that included four boundaries and a massive Six. Target of 162 was set which was too much for UBS. UBS was bowled out for 86 runs. Tony Brown and Dilly Smith took 3 wickets each. After the game captain encouraged players to have fun and enjoy cricket.

**** BCC worked hard to win the 4th game of the season****
BCC played New Milford Cricket club on their 4th game of the 40 over season. The match was played at NMCC cricket ground and DON won the toss and elected to bat. BCC had a good start but then lost both openers at 72 runs. Middle order collapsed but visiting side was able to put up a competitive target of 165 runs. Sean Edwards started the BCC attack and was able to get 3 quick wickets to disturb the home side and NMCC was not able to deal with the preasure. BCC bowled them out for 146 runs. Sean Edwards and Levar Meyers finished with 3 wickets each.

**** BCC wins 3 in a row****
BCC won the 3rd game with ease against New Haven Cricket Club. NHCC had no chance when they were reduced to total of 93 runs. Vice Captain bowled an excellent spell and took 4 wickets. Edwards and Smith also did their part and took 3 wickets each. BCC was able to reach the target in 19 overs and finished the game early.
**** BCC wins a close encounter against new Team.****
BCC struggled against the new team called Cheetah cricket club but was able to pull off an amazing victory in a match that went down to the wire. Cheetah cricket club won the toss and elected to bat, they put up a target of 146 runs. BCC started off poorly and lost quick wickets. The home team was 4 wickets down with only 9 runs. Robin Lynch played a responsible knock of 73 and BCC was able to score the winning runs with no wickets in hand.
**** BCC wins an easy match to open 40 over season****
BCC bowled out Brass Cricket Club for only 73 runs in the openning game of the 40 over competition. Both openning bowlers Pitter and Edwards took 4 wickets and BCC reached the target with ease in 13 overs.
**** BCC wins with ease against Cheshire 2****
BCC scored a mammoth 189 in 20 overs with a vicious knock by O'Neil (Pai) that demolished Cheshire 2 in the 3rd game of the 20/20 competition. O'Neil scored a brilliant 100 that included bounderies all over the ground. A. Khaliq took 5 wickets to gain additional bonus points and Cheshire 2 were bowled out for very low score.
**** BCC beats Cheetah Up in Style****
BCC played Cheetah Cricket Club in the second 20 over match and won by 31 runs. Bridgeport lost qquick wickets but responsible innings from Captain and Robin Lynch allowed a target of 133 to be set. BCC defended the target in style with the help of A. Wilson who took 4 wickets for in just 3 overs for 19 runs. Cheetah was bowled out for only 102 runs.
**** BCC starts the season with Victory****
BCC played West Haven B team in the first 20 over match and won by 6 wickets. Target of 106 was set and BCC chased it in 18.2 overs. BCC innings included 20+ runs each from KK, Reidy and Dominic.

**** BCC elects new Board****
BCC had its annual election and has elected new board members.

Bridgeport plays West Haven Cricket club next in the last game of the season. This is going to be a thrilling game on Sunday September 14th in West Haven as West Haven will try their best to win and as BCC tries to end the season on the high going into Playoffs.
